A Strategic Partnership
SmartCOP, Inc., a public safety software provider of Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management, and Jail Management Software, has entered into a strategic partnership with Chief360, an emergency technology company that provides life-saving emergency data to first responders. SmartCOP’s mobile software, provides deployed personnel with full system access from their laptops, phones, and tablets. However, with the Chief360 partnership, specialized tools unique to fire and EMS are now available.
SmartCOP’s Computer Aided Dispatch(SmartCAD) system integrates with Chief360’s Chief Mobile App to provide alerts and notifications to responding fire and EMS units. Once the app receives an alert, a push notification will display on the device that provides detailed information about the incident, such as call for service location, knox box information, notes and medical information, hydrant locations, crew makeup, responding status, as well as mapping and turn by turn directions.
SmartCOP and Chief360 believe this partnership will ultimately help lead to faster first responder response times which will help save more lives. PENSACOLA, FL — SmartCOP, an industry leader for public safety software solutions, is pleased to announce that Gwinnett County, GA has selected SmartCOP’s SmartJAIL software suite to replace their current Jail Management System.
Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office, under the leadership of Sheriff Butch Conway and Jail Administrator Don Pinkard, conducted a multi-year evaluation and selection process that included corrections professionals from all functional units of the Jail. The SmartJAIL software will support the Gwinnett County Jail, County Correctional Institute, and Diversion Center. These sites combine for more than 40,000 bookings per year, and an Average Daily Population of more than 2,600 inmates.
“The County has experienced significant growth over the last decade and we simply outgrew the capabilities of our existing system”, said Sylvia Black, Technical Services Director for the Sheriff’s Office. “We need a system that is configurable to the needs of a large jail, but not one that is unnecessarily complex to use or to maintain. After a lot of research, site visits, and a robust RFP process, we are confident that we have selected a solution that will serve us well for many, many years” Black added.
“We are proud of our industry-leading retention rate with agencies of all sizes in the Southeast and around the nation,” said SmartCOP President Kay Stephenson. “SmartCOP products and customer service once again out-performed our national competition and exceeded the rigorous requirements of Gwinnett County.” Key requirements were a proven technology base, ease of use, mechanisms to increase the efficiency, accuracy and quality of data collected, the ability to securely share information with the Courts and other Law Enforcement agencies in the county, features to support the analysis of collected data, and proven integration capabilities with other service providers (Commissary, Video Visitation, etc.)
The announcement represents another step forward for SmartCOP, which has long-standing contracts with other satisfied sheriffs across Florida, Georgia, Alabama, and Montana.

CTS is proud to announce the release of the latest module in the SmartJAIL Product Line, “Inmate Programs”. Inmate Programs allows an agency to configure an unlimited number of Inmate Programs, such as GED, Religious Services, and AA, as well as manage Inmate Worker Programs such as Kitchen Worker, Laundry, Maintenance, etc. The module is browser based yet integrated into the full product suite. Each Program can be configured with minimum requirements, such as sentenced, gender of inmates and required skill sets to participate in the selected program. Assigned Supervisors can receive automated notifications via email when Inmates are assigned or removed from their current work assignment, allowing better planning when replacements are needed. Inmate Programs includes a variety of reports including Work Schedules, rosters, etc. Additionally, Inmates can be placed on waiting lists at the program level and personnel will be alerted when a position becomes available and what Inmate is next on the list.

Pensacola, FL –CTS America was awarded a contract from an RFP with the Putnam County Sheriffs’ Office to implement our Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management, Mobile Field Based Reporting, and Jail Management System.
In May 2012, Putnam County Emergency Services added CTS America’s mobile software enabling both agencies to work cooperatively in the use of the software for public safety purposes.
