Purchasing Methods
SmartCOP offers several methods for purchasing and licensing our software. Regardless of the procurement method selected, SmartCOP provides 24-hour, 7-days-a-week, 365 days a year support, as well as no-cost upgrades to our products. This means no new versions to purchase, ever. You will be provided with the most up-to-date products, with no worry of extra price.
Purchasing Agreements
This method is the fastest and easiest way to purchase from SmartCOP. What is a Cooperative Purchasing Agreement? States and local entities release requests for purchase (RFP) and vendors submit proposals just as they would if your agency released an RFP. Companies are awarded based on their compliance with the requirements and pricing. Since an RFP and award process has occurred, agencies can leverage this for their procurement process and avoid the time and expense of the RFP process.
Cooperative procurement can benefit agencies with lower prices and lower administrative costs.
SmartCOP Cooperative Purchasing Agreements:
Kansas State Contract – Any agency in Kansas can purchase directly from the state contract.
Subscription Purchasing Option
This allows an agency to procure our system with a much lower initial cost and then pay for the system quarterly or annually. This is very similar to paying for cell phone service.
Financing & Leasing
For agencies with funding concerns, SmartCOP has relationships with several finance companies that specializes in public safety financing. Financing and/or leasing allows the agency to procure the full system with low monthly payments typically over 36 to 48 months.
Standard Purchasing Option
Any agency can purchase SmartCOP software with standard upfront purchase through negotiated pricing.
This does require active annual maintenance agreement.
