Officers in Oakwood now operate with SmartCOP’s Mobile Computer Terminal (MCT), providing access to essential information directly from patrol vehicles. Coupled with Field-Based Reporting, officers can complete and submit reports from the field, eliminating delays caused by station returns and freeing up time for community patrols. These tools reduce duplicate data entry and support accuracy under pressure, especially during time-sensitive incidents.
SmartRMS and SmartEvidence Strengthen Case Integrity and Record Control
Oakwood PD also implemented SmartRMS, a centralized police records management system that handles everything from arrest logs to incident narratives. With SmartEvidence integration, digital evidence, such as photos, documents, and attachments, is stored in secure, organized case files. This helps ensure that investigations are properly documented, audit-ready, and easily reviewable across departments. It also supports long-term compliance with state and federal reporting protocols.
SmartADMIN Gives Supervisors Clear Visibility and Operational Command
At the administrative level, Oakwood is now using SmartADMIN, the backbone of system management. This module provides high-level oversight of user access, system configurations, and reporting permissions. For command staff, it delivers a consistent view into agency activity without the need for constant manual coordination, allowing policy adjustments and decision-making to be informed by live operational data.
