Why TACP Matters: A Legacy of Leadership in Law Enforcement
The Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police (TACP) has been shaping law enforcement policy and leadership since 1970. Founded by forward-thinking chiefs summoned to the state capitol to help reform hiring standards and improve public safety practices, TACP has grown into Tennessee’s largest law enforcement leadership organization, with more than 1,000 members statewide.
With over five decades of progress behind it, TACP remains a powerhouse for professional development. Attendees of the annual conference can earn more than 40 hours of POST-approved training, access the latest tools in leadership and accreditation, and participate in strategic conversations shaping public safety policy from Bristol to Memphis.
