Washington County, Florida Sheriff Kevin Crews expresses his appreciation to SmartCOP for their assistance after a direct hit from Hurricane Michael.

Hurricane Michael, the strongest storm in terms of maximum sustained winds to strike the United States since Andrew in 1992 and also the strongest on record in the Florida Panhandle made landfall on October 10, 2018.

The storm wreaked havoc and caused a massive amount of technical difficulties, including lost communication and network connections, compounding the devastation of the County.

SmartCOP took action to ensure the safety and security of the public and enable the Sheriff’s office to get back up and running as quickly as possible.
